All eligible households are determined by Area Median Income (AMI) published annually for workforce housing by HUD.

Area Median Income (AMI) represents the midpoint of all household incomes in a specific geographical area, such as the City of Key West. It is used as a benchmark to determine income eligibility for various housing assistance programs, subsidies, and affordable housing initiatives. The AMI helps define different income categories, such as “low-income,” “very low-income,” and “extremely low-income,” which then influence the availability of affordable housing options and the level of financial support individuals and families may qualify for.

Rental and home ownership applications will be processed as follows:

Tier 1 – Current Bahama Village residents as defined by boundary.
Tier 2 – Family or household residing in Key West.
Tier 3 – Single household residing in Key West.
Tier 4 – Any household residing outside of Key West.

Every homeowner is guaranteed one parking space. 72 spaces have been allotted for rentals, but parking is not guaranteed. Lofts parking permits will be issued. In addition, there will be 109 bicycle parking spaces.
