Join Us for Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day
On Friday, December 20, 2024, at 3 PM, the Key West community will gather at the Florida Keys Outreach Coalition’s (FKOC) Key West Cemetery vault to honor the lives of homeless individuals who passed away in Monroe County this year.
Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day is held annually on the first day of winter—the longest night of the year. This solemn event serves as a time for reflection, remembrance, and renewed commitment to addressing the challenges of homelessness.
During the ceremony, attendees will pay tribute to our neighbors and friends who died without a place to call home in 2024. The event will include a memorial service and interment for those who chose the FKOC vault as their final resting place.
